I'm Anson Jablinski, and I was born and raised in Houston, TX. My dad showed me GORILLA.BAS
one day and I was hooked.
QBASIC
kept me busy until seventh grade, when I picked up a TI-83+ and a double bass. My first apps were written in TI-BASIC
and published to ticalc.org. The first double bass solo that I learned was The Elephant. In my senior year of high school, I studied Java in my first computer science class.
It was a long while until my second computer science class, as I next attended Baylor University in Waco, TX and studied Music Theory. I had a blast in the Baylor Symphony Orchestra and Jazz Ensemble, and even started learning piano along the way.
I returned to Houston and soon began studying Computer Science at the University of Houston. After creating my first iPad app during the 2014 Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship, I graduated in May 2015. After a brief stint in consulting, I've been a full-time iOS developer ever since.
I was promoted to Senior iOS Developer after fewer than three years in the industry, and later spent just under two years as an iOS engineering lead. Some of my most challenging work experience includes interfacing with hardware devices via customized networking frameworks and reactive programming. My specialties are git and writing clear documentation.
